Description

I was walking along a boardwalk thru a backwater park. I met this blackbird who did not seem to fear me and was quite intent on hanging around. I took a few pictures and finally it dawned on me why he wasn't flying away. He was defending his home and was therefore quite unafraid of me, even though I was a little bit bigger than him. I saw courage in the face of great danger in the defense of what was most important.
